Well, after building their hut, it was time for the girls to create cave paintings, build a mock Nile River and then flood it to see if grass would grow, and finally, create cuneiform tablets to learn about the first writings in the Ancient World. It's been a busy few weeks!
The girls were astonished to discover all of the things that were invented in Ancient Mesopotamia, like toilets, sailboats, and papyrus paper. They love their history lessons and activities, so I'm really happy with the new curriculum!

Science Lessons
The girls did a few fun physics lessons with Daddy - they learned about force as they watched a balloon on a straw shoot up an inclined plane, and they used a balloon to power a car. Plus, they built a tower out of coins!
Molly and Norah learned that with moisture and sunlight, they could grow lima bean seedlings, but that after the nutrients from the seed leaves were gone, the seedlings would die without being in soil. Amelya studied plant life cycles and recorded how fast tomato, green beans, and green pepper plants would sprout and turn into seedlings. Then, she measured their growth and created a chart and graph.
