Amelya's final ballet class at the YMCA was this evening. The instructor read The Nutcracker to the girls, and then they tried to copy her movements to the many songs of the ballet. They all had a good time!

Dance Stuff
Our Sweet Molly took a tap class this session. She likes the class and her instructor, but she has told us that she doesn't want to take tap again. Apparently, she can't make her taps LOUD enough, so she'd like to return to ballet! I spoke with her instructor (who also taught her in Pre-Ballet last spring), and she said that we can skip Molly to Pre-Ballet Level 3 for 4-6 year olds. So exciting!!! Her final class was this week, so she wore a festive dress and passed out candy canes.
Amelya has decided to continue ballet after Christmas. She was introduced to the barre and really enjoys class (that's her in the gray sweater). This week, she performed in her first play as Polly Poplar, the main character in a story about Christmas trees and the real gifts of Christmas. She (and only one other girl) memorized all of her lines - you might be able to see her script being held between her feet! She did very well in front of an audience of about 50 parents, relatives and siblings.
We can't wait for little Norah to be old enough to dance, since she "needs to dance" all the time, especially to music from the Black Eyed Peas! Not appropriate music, you say? I think she'd strongly disagree! "Boom Boom, Momma, Boom Boom!!!" Don't worry, she's also a huge fan of JoJo's Circus and the Backyardigans (my personal favorite).

Other Stuff
Molly's last day of Preschool was a special Mom's day. I spent the morning with her doing crafts, listening to special Mothers' Day songs and having a snack. We had a very special time together, and Molly was very excited to share her last day with me.
The day after we came back from our cruise, Molly had her dance recital. She did a great job and looked beautiful. She smiled the entire time and was excited to receive flowers, asking "Momma, are these just for me??"
Amelya also has news - she wanted to cut her hair short! SO, we took a trip to the kids salon and chop-chop for summer. She loves her new do and enjoys brushing and washing it herself with ease.
Disney Cruise 2009
Our Disney Cruise to the Caribbean was AWESOME! Thanks to Mom & Step-Dad!!! The girls had a fantastic time and loved seeing all of the characters and princesses. The food was great, and there was lots of it! Sean and I even discovered our new favorite drink called the Sunken Treasure. He's been working diligently to get the recipe down (and I've been faithfully trying every batch!). Enjoy the pictures!
